    >>Where and when was Don born? Other background info?

Don was born in Toronto, Ontario Canada, on August 17, 1963. Don was raised in the suburbs of North Toronto, where he attended Lawrence Park Collegiate. After graduation, he later attended the University of Toronto (he resided at Victoria College for several years, while studying English). Don has a younger sister, and an older brother ("I'm the middle child, as if you couldn't tell.") Although Don (somewhat) recently moved out of his beloved Kensington abode, he still makes his residence in Toronto.

    >>Is Don married? Have any kids?

Nope, and nope. (There's still hope, ladies! ;)

    >>I need to get in contact with Don. Where can I write to him?

You can find the addresses of several production companies (who will gladly forward your letter to him) on the contacts page.

    >>Do you have Don's email? Or his home address?

Nope, and nope. (Even if we did, we wouldn't randomly give it out anyway. Sorry.)

    >>Can you pass on a message to Don for me?

I'm afraid we can't. You would have a better chance by personally writing him.

    >>I am a budding actor/writer/director/producer. I would love to get Don to act in/write/direct/produce my new project. Can you get me in contact with him?

Again, we don't foward personal messages and requests to Don. (Sorry.) And to tell you the truth, we're not entirely sure of how good your chances of nabbing Don for your project are. (Sorry.) But you can give it a shot by writing to one of the addresses listed here, or here.

    >>Has Don visited this page?

Yes, Don has admitted to visiting this site several times (all thanks to his parents! God bless 'em!) Although, I have no idea whether or not he checks up on the message board. So, leaving him a message there doesn't guarantee that it will be seen by him.

    >>I desperately want video copies of Twitch City. Can I purchase them anywhere?

Bruce McDonald confirmed in an interview that there are plans to release the first two seasons of Twitch City on video and dvd, although no release date has been set yet. In the meantime, all I can suggest is that you find a kind soul who will make a copy for you. (Stay tuned to this website for any new details about the video collection in the future...)

    >>Where can I obtain tapes/merchandise from Don's work?

Try searching the listed merch retailers and sources provided in the links section.

    >>Are any of Don's plays/screenplays available in book form?

Any screenplays available can be found by searching the listed retailers. None of Don's plays, however, are available. Not as of yet, at least.

    >>What are some of Don's upcoming projects?

  • Don's latest film Childstar will be released in Canada on January 28, 2005.
  • Don is attached to direct an upcoming movie adaptation of the book The Colony of Unrequited Dreams by Wayne Johnston.
  • Don is currently working on a screen adaptation of a 1998 award-winning novel called "Blindness". Don is also planning on directing this feature.
  • Don has one completed, yet un-produced screenplay, based on cult comic book "Yummy Fur". This project has been put on hold (since 1995) indefinitely, due to production costs.

(You can find out more details and news in the news section.)

    >>Will Twitch City be back for another season?

It was confirmed by Don last year that the CBC has asked for another season of Twitch City. Whether or not the show will actually go into production, depends on if enough funding is provided, and if all central actors can take part in the filming schedule. Stay tuned to this site for any new info.

    >>Will old Twitch City episodes be repeated anytime soon?

No dates we know of so far. But if anyone is aware of any air dates in other countries, please !

    >>Why was Bruce McCulloch replaced by Mark McKinney in TC's second season?

Bruce was filming the movie Superstar at the time, so he was unavailable for shooting. So, Don decided to bring in another Kid In The Hall-er - Mark McKinney - to be his replacement.

    >>What happened to the official Twitch City site?

    We honestly don't know.

    >>What's that song Newbie and Hope dance to in the supermarket (season one, episode five)?

You'd be surprised at how often this is asked. Anyhow, the song is "Bye Bye Mon Cowboy" by Quebecois chanteuse Mitsou. It was originally released on her 1991 album El Mundo.

Be spontaneous! Buy it now! :)

    >>Why have some of the features that used to be available on the site disappeared?

I wanted to streamline and condense the site (mainly to conserve space) so I got rid of some features that I felt were redundant. Other features I've simply moved to different pages.

The trading post is no more, but I've moved the merchandise list and email under the links, and the greeting cards, message board, and polls under "interact". The "Fan Stories" have now been relegated to the message board (due to my own inability to post up new stories in a timely manner.)

    >>I'd like to borrow some material from your site. Is that okay?

With exception of several things found at this site (desktops and Twitch City episode transcripts), you are most certainly allowed to borrow some needed materials for your own use, although excessive pilfering of material for your own site is NOT APPRECIATED. If you do take from this site, please remember to give us a visible credit/link on your page, in return. Not only is it good netiquette, but it's fair. (And hey, if we like your site, we'll even provide a link back to it. :)

    >>Can you add my webpage to your links section?

Sure! But only if it's Don-related, doesn't contain any explicit or defamatory content, and doesn't make my browser crash when I visit it. :P Feel free to your link suggestions to us.

Also, we've got a couple of link banners available for anyone to use, if they'd like to link back to us!

    >>I'd like to pay you to put my ad(s) on your site. Interested?

    Nah. (But thanks anyway.)

A link/image/page is not working on your site. How come?

Perhaps a gaffe in the html code? A temperamental website server? Planets out of alignment? If you do run into any problems, please take the time to about it, so we can fix it. In doing so, you will become our new best friend.

    >>I wrote you an email a while back, and I still haven't received a reply. How come?

Misdirected mail? Laziness? A crippling bout of tennis elbow? If you don't hear back from us for a while, please accept our apologies. It's nothing personal - we're busy most of the time, and our email tends to get a bit neglected. We love hearing from our visitors and fellow Don fans, so please do continue to write us.

    >>Who runs this gig?

Sarah and Elaine are just a couple of rabid fans, who both hail from Don's hometown. Contrary to popular belief, we are not related to him in any way, nor do we know Don personally. Well, not yet. (Ha.) Sarah is the more "seasoned" Don fan, having followed his career for a great number of years. Elaine has been a Don junkie since the release of Last Night. Elaine takes care of the website maintenance, while Sarah contributes her infinite Don wisdom. Both Sarah and Elaine also share a common passion for Sloan (the Canadian band, not the toilet valve company). Tell us how much you love/loathe us by .
